What to Wear to Office on Diwali? Do’s and Don’ts for Women.
By Gazal Jain, Founder ·
Diwali is the one party where your outfit gets more attention than your presentations. Go too heavy and you feel like you’ve crashed a wedding. Go too plain and you’re the only one in a regular shirt while everyone else glows.
The fix is somewhere in the middle.
Do
•Pick one rich colour: maroon, bottle green or mustard.
•Wear something you can sit, walk and eat in. A short kurti with wide pants, a silk or satin shirt with tailored trousers, or a saree you already trust.
•Choose a piece that works again on Monday. The Burgundy Bloom Kurti from Lénor does that: breathable cotton, anti-wrinkle, an adjustable corset waist on both sides, and a structured collar that keeps it sharp.
•Add one thing that says you made an effort. Jhumkas or a statement stole. Pick one.
Don’t
•Wear the heavy kurta set. You’ll regret it by 7 pm.
•Go full sequin.
•Wear heels you’ll be carrying by 8 pm.
