What Is the Dress Code for Office Diwali Party?
By Gazal Jain, Founder ·
Diwali party is the one day your outfit gets more attention than your presentations. Dress too hard and you feel like you’ve crashed a wedding. Dress too soft and you’re the only one in a plain shirt while everyone else glows.
Here’s the middle part. Pick one rich colour, like maroon, bottle green or mustard and wear it in something you can actually sit, walk and eat in. A short Kurti with wide pants or a soft silk/satin shirt with tailored trousers, or a saree you’ve worn before and trust. Skip the heavy kurta set , the full-sequin look and heels you’ll be carrying by 8 pm.
Think of a festive-meets-formal piece from Lénor that works at the party and again at Monday’s meeting Take the Burgundy Bloom Kurti from Lénor: breathable cotton, anti wrinkle, adjustable corset waist on both sides and a structured collar that keeps it polished
Then add one thing that shows you made an effort jhumkas or a statement stole. Just one. And you’re ready to go
Wear what makes you feel good.
